Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

My wife and I printed out a gift certificate from restaurant.com and went to check out Il Forno for the first time. The food was excellent authentic Italian cuisine and the service was top notch. Price was right too. We'll definitely be going back.

I've recently discovered this place even though I live so close in the neighborhood. They've got the best local pizza around and have to get it at least once a week. And the pizza is huge. I guess I need to try other stuff on the menu next.

I eat here almost every day for lunch for my break and I have my go to's like the white pizza or the cheesteak with the lunch specials but honestly every time I try something new I love it. They need more advertising!

Having moved to this area a few years ago, we have made il Forno our local pizza destination. (versus Buontempo Brothers) You order and pay for everything at the front and they bring everything out for you and clean up afterward. (remember to leave a couple of bucks for the teenage server!) The menu is consistently good regardless of what we order. The pizza in particular is good since I think they use a quality mozzarella cheese, which to me makes a big difference. Haven't had a bad pizza yet. The other good quality of this restaurant is the friendliness of the staff. Not sure if he is the owner, but there is a guy there everytime we have went who says hello and when you ask for them to bring out the children's dish as soon as it is done, they do. In all, a well run family restaurant. Check it out.

I would love to say we like Il Forno but since opening we have never experienced a good meal. We live within walking distance but only have ever got carryout. We always order a pasta dish of some sort and found the food to be subpar. Unfortunately we no longer order from Il Forno and hope they improve the quality of their carry out in the future so we could try them again.

The best calzones!!! Also, try the garlic knots mm...

Just tried Il Forno for the first time, great food. Awesome mozzarella sticks, they are homemade. I will definitely be back soon.

I've enjoyed eating here every time I've been. The food is great but the table service is hit or miss. (I think they staff expects half of the customers to order their food to go.) Next time I go here, I will probably order to go too since they seem to air commercials over music. The food that I received looked much better than the two pics that are currently posted on yelp. Side note: they don't have any kind of hot sauce - just red pepper flakes.

Closed as of 2/17/15. Thank you to the Obama administration. Hard for small business to thrive in a Communist/Marxist economy!

Just went there last week and it was FABULOUS and went back today and they were closed :(((((

I like that they are stepping up and making it a little fancier with pre-rolled silverware in cloth napkins. Unfortunately their signage outside definitely makes the front look trashy but the the inside is kept up and the food is decent. If they got rid of the self serve soda counter it would look better but I'm sure they don't have anywhere else to put it. The servers are genuinely helpful.

We went there for the first time for lunch the other day and we loved it and will definitely go back it was amazing food and friendly staff!

Had lunch with a friend today. She always says that Il Forno's has great food. I have to agree. Today we split and order of Hot Wings... they were cooked just right, tender and juicy. The meat pulled off the bones without having to gnaw on the chicken bones like a dog would. The blue cheese dressing the wings game with was tasty and good. My only comment would be it could be better if they added bigger chunks of Blue Cheese it would be awesome. We split a nice cheese steak sub, cooked nicely with grilled onions, mushrooms, and banana peppers. Drawback: they only carry Pepsi products... what a shame. I prefer Coke/Diet Coke. (They still would have been a 4 star if they carried coke). I will be back, that is a guarantee!!!

Service pleasant food was average. It is better than the sub shop on red pump rd but not by much.

Kids and I love their pizza. Good service and great taste

I was pretty drunk when my friends and I came here but I remember loving it. They had this great deal offered on their menu with two large pizzas and twenty wings for $24!! You can't beat that and between four people, we still had crazy leftovers! For amazing Italian food, come to Il Forno Della Nonna.

We've eaten here many times and the food is decent. But since the last time we dined in, they have changed to a sit down restaurant with a waitress instead of more of a help yourself restaurant. Only problem is the waitress staff doesn't seem to have any experience in coming back to the table and was annoyed when we went and took care of things ourselves. Will I come back, maybe I'll just stick to carry out!!

I'm not a fan of il Forno. I ordered a grilled eggplant and vegetable sub to only find fried eggplant mashed to the size of pancakes congealed in a slop of cold cheese. I called the manager and he was flippant with my complaint (menu says grilled, not fried!) saying "Everyone else likes it." Everyone else apparently can't read.

Stopped in here one night and read the good reviews the previous night. We went up to the counter to order our food and could see into the kitchen. Very dirty kitchen, so bad we had to turn around and walk out without ordering.

Love this place. Top 5 pizza and subs in town. Also one of the few places you can grab a beer and eat in. Friendly staff as well!
